European Commission Memo dated 23 June 2011 titled Consumer Rights: 10 ways the new EU Consumer Rights Directive will give people stronger rights when they shop online.

European Commission Memo dated 10 October 2011 titled New EU rules on consumer rights to enter into force.

Directive 2011/83 of 25 October 2011 on consumer rights, amending Directive 93/13 and Directive 1999/44 and repealing Directive 85/577 and Directive 97/7.

Directive 93/13 on unfair terms in consumer contracts.

Directive 1999/44 on certain aspects of the sale of consumer goods and associated guarantees.

Directive 85/577 to protect the consumer in respect of contracts negotiated away from business premises.

Directive 97/7 on the protection of consumers in respect of distance contracts, amended by Directive 2002/65 of 23 September 2002 concerning the distance marketing of consumer financial services, Directive 2005/29 of 11 May 2005 concerning unfair business-to-consumer commercial practices in the internal market and Directive 2007/64 of 13 November 2007 on payment services in the internal market.
